Spravato Medical Assistant Responsibilities Create a positive work environment; be a culture carrier and support in‑office clinician and staff engagement activities to promote LFST culture, engagement, and connection. Provide strong customer service, responding quickly and appropriately to patient needs and managing potentially difficult or emotional situations. Communicate with peers, clinicians, and patients in ways that support patient care and clinician satisfaction. Oversee the daily operations and management of clinical therapies under the direction of the Physician. Greet and room patients, obtain weight and vitals, review relevant medical information and current medications, and administer medications as indicated and ordered. Review all screeners related to a patient’s appointment and alert the physician if abnormal or high scores are reported. Provide clear patient instructions and education regarding treatments. Ensure all relevant documentation and consents are signed before starting treatment. Ensure adequate medication dosages and confirm accurate dose before medication administration. Verify correct patient identification prior to treatment (chairside). Monitor and assess patients thoroughly throughout their stay. Maintain all clinical logs to ensure compliance and accuracy. Prepare clinic for the next shift. Review intakes and collaborate with the psychiatric clinician regarding new patient paperwork. Establish professional relationships with new and existing patients. Submit charting and documentation requirements for each patient in a timely manner. Maintain an organized storage system for supplies, including expiration dates and required levels. Monitor and report inventory needs for daily operation. Maintain and comply with DEA regulations concerning controlled substances. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations. Assist psychiatric clinicians with prior authorizations, lab orders, letters, records requests, and coordination of necessary patient paperwork (e.g., FLMA). Facilitate communication between the patient, medical staff, and pharmacy, including arranging medication deliveries. Ensure accuracy of patient pharmacy information in the medical record. Assist in coordinating internal and external referrals for specialty service care. Clinician Support Provide general clinician support—assist with administrative questions and duties such as sending letters, faxes, and similar tasks. Coordinate with clinicians regarding additional patient questions. Required Skills & Abilities Ability to multitask and prioritize duties to deliver a high‑quality patient experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in using computer software applications (Microsoft Office & EMRs). Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information (HIPAA). Current BLS certification. Understanding of documentation standards. Education & Experience Certified Medical Assistant. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or a similar role. Location 100% onsite at our Naperville Practice Location. Compensation Base salary: Competitive hourly rate based on tenure, experience, and market/geography.
