Baker Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Baker Lead to prepare high-quality breads, desserts, pastries, and cold food items for lunch and dinner service. First—Compassionate Acts Reflecting Excellence—in all aspects of the role.Work collaboratively with kitchen and dining team members to support timely, high-quality meal service.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Two-year culinary degree preferred.Minimum of three years of experience in baking, pastry preparation, salad preparation, or related food-service work required.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to follow standardized recipes, production sheets, and food-preparation procedures.Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and safe operation of standard kitchen appliances and equipment.Ability to maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced food-service environment.Strong organization, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Positive communication skills and the ability to work well with others.Southminster is open year-round, which will require availability to work evenings, some weekends, and holidays.
