Lifeguard (Per Diem)

Status: Per Diem (as needed, not on reg. schedule)

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lifeguard completes records and reports, participates in regular in service sessions, exercises regularly to maintain fitness level (strength and endurance) and completes additional duties as assigned by supervisor. Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques understanding of facility characteristics, rules, polices, and procedures What you bring to Green Chimneys: 0-2 years of lifeguarding experience OR have the ability to get certified at Green Chimneys (employment dependent on completion of course) Be at least 16 years of age American Red Cross [or equivalent] First Aid & CPR certification American Red Cross [or equivalent] Lifeguarding certification Other local or state required certifications Maintain fitness levels (endurance and strength) to the degree of being able to perform job duties This is a per diem (as needed role) that is not benefit eligible.
