IT Process Manager

Contract: 6 months

Location: 3x a week in Richmond, VA


We are seeking a highly motivated IT Operational Process Manager, who has proven experience with process and data management concepts, a strong technical and cyber/access management background, and familiarity with cyber security and access management.


This role will be responsible for independently managing daily activities that support key control/operational processes and drive quality outcomes, as well as providing first-class support to end-users across the enterprise, while identifying, vetting, and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control outcomes without disrupting existing systems.


Process Management (Primary Focus)

• A strong understanding of process management concepts (e.g. CTQs, KPIs, SIPOCs, Swimlanes, RACIs, Process Health Monitoring (e.g. Throughput, Control Charts, etc.).
• Understand control objectives, required steps, and expected outcomes; execute workflows by pulling dashboards, tracking outputs, and completing required actions.
• Ensure processes are consistently followed, well-documented, audit-ready, and producing compliant outcomes.
• Identify non-compliance and drive stakeholder remediation to closure, reinforcing accountability across teams.
• Track key process metrics (cycle time, errors, rework, handoffs) and perform root cause analysis to identify breakdowns.
• Recommend and implement practical improvements to strengthen process adherence, efficiency, and control effectiveness.

Technical Aptitude & Data Management / Analytics

• Use dashboards and spreadsheets to track, reconcile, and analyze process data; fill gaps using formulas with common Google Sheet functions (e.g. IF statements, error trapping, count and sum functions, vlookup/xlookup, index match, query, etc.) and graphing (e.g. bar charts, combo charts).
• Apply basic SQL skills to read and modify existing queries
• Demonstrate working knowledge of systems and data flows, including integrations (APIs, file transfers) and application architecture.
• Navigate multiple data sources and tools to support accurate process execution and reporting.
