Shift Information: Evenings - 3 days x 12 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

About the Position

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and timely care to patients in a Level II Trauma Emergency Department.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and implement evidence-based care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and life-support interventions as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (EPIC).
• Support hospital float needs across designated UnityPoint campuses as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years recent ED experience – Required
• Licensure: Active IL RN license at submission (Compact accepted)
• If IA license not active, proof of application required before start
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, MOAB (can be obtained during onboarding)
• COVID-19: Vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Local Policy: No travelers residing within 60 miles
