Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Vita Flex Therapeutics, you will work onsite in the homes of our patients throughout Tallahassee. This unique work setting allows for a personalized therapy experience where you can build genuine relationships with your patients, observe their living conditions, and implement adjusted treatment plans that can lead to more effective outcomes. Your operating hours will typically be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, though occasional flexibility may be required to respond to patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions to identify specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that focus on enhancing mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring correct technique to maximize safety and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and their families regarding appropriate body mechanics and exercises to support recovery efforts.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, to assist with pain management and functional improvement.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functionality.
• Assist in maintaining treatment areas, ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are organized and ready for use.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to create a cohesive treatment experience for patients.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support to patients, creating a motivational and positive rehabilitation environment.
• Adhere to ethical standards and practices, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting their rights at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be serving a diverse array of patients ranging from children to senior citizens, all with varying degrees of physical challenges. The patients you encounter will be recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic pain, or medical conditions affecting their mobility. Each patient's journey is unique, and your role will be crucial in tailoring treatment to accommodate their specific needs and circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Ability to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry standards.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in physical therapy, particularly in a home care setting.

Compensation and Benefits
