AI Software Engineer

Job Description

Day to Day:

This engineer will join a team focused on building and expanding AI-powered experiences for loan and prequalification users. They will be responsible for developing a new AI concierge platform that helps users navigate lending processes and understand next steps in their customer journey. The role will be heavily focused on full stack development, including building chatbot and conversational AI interfaces with React and developing cloud-native backend services using Java Spring Boot.

The engineer will work extensively with GCP-based AI technologies, integrating Google's out-of-the-box LLM capabilities into enterprise applications and configuring how those models generate responses for users. They will help design and develop AI agents using Google ADK or similar agent frameworks, implement RAG solutions leveraging internal enterprise data pipelines, and create scalable AI experiences that provide personalized guidance to customers. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with at least 2 years of GenAI experience and a proven track record delivering AI-enabled products into production environments.

Skills and Requirements

Must Have:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI solutions in production environments

• 4+ years of software engineering experience

• 4+ years of React development

• 4+ years of Java Spring Boot development

• 4+ years developing cloud-native applications and microservices

• Experience with GCP (AWS experience also considered)

• Experience building and implementing AI agents

• Experience with Google ADK (Agent Development Kit) or similar agent frameworks

• Strong understanding of RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)

• Experience integrating and configuring LLMs within enterprise applications

• Experience developing chatbot or conversational AI solutions

Experience building AI-powered user experiences from frontend through backend Plusses:

• Vertex AI experience

• Financial services, banking, or lending experience

• Prompt engineering experience

• Multi-agent architecture experience

• Experience optimizing LLM outputs and responses

Knowledge of conversational AI design patterns
