Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine, Physician Assistant - Urgent Care


Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Lumberton, NC. This full-time position requires local candidates who are experienced in treating both adult and pediatric patients (6 months+), capable of managing high-volume patient care in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare.


Responsibilities:

• Cover all patient visits independently as the sole provider in the center
• Perform procedures such as I&D, Lac repair, Ear irrigation, and other minor procedures
• Utilize Epic EMR system efficiently (training provided)
• Maintain excellent soft skills in interactions with support staff and patients
• Ensure thorough documentation and adherence to clinical protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 months experience in urgent care or similar setting
• Board certification (Board Certified PA or Family NP Cert)
• Active BLS, NC DEA license, and PA Cert or NP Boards
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (training provided)
• Ability to work full-time hours with consistent coverage needs
• Must be local to Lumberton, NC, within a 60-mile radius (reimbursement up to 60 miles)
• Willing to participate in mandatory training sessions scheduled on Wednesdays prior to first shift

Support Staff: Center Manager, Medical Assistants, Patient Service Assistants, Supervising Physician (offsite for APPs)


Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics (6 months and up)


Shift Details:

• No call requirements
• No supervision required, but supervising physician is available for locum APPs
• Up to 60 patients per day, averaging around 40

EMR: Epic (modified training schedule provided)


Travel & Lodging: Not eligible for travel reimbursement; mileage reimbursement only


Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hr

Interview Process:
Candidates must pass a clinical screening, complete EMR training, and onboarding before their first shift. Participation in scheduled training sessions on Wednesdays is required.
