Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of hospital setting experience for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment in Richmond, VA, working weekend shifts.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit in a main hospital building in Richmond, VA
- 44-bed unit staffed with 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Weekend shift: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
- May float to the acute care hospital if rehab census is low
- Specialized equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego
- Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
- Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
Requirements
- Active OT license required where applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred
- Stroke evaluation and treatment experience required
- Must have active clinical experience within the last 6 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Procedures performed include manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional e-stim
- AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices are expected
- Preferred scrub attire is black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
