Respiratory Therapist (Registered)

Role: Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) responsible for assessing, planning, performing, and evaluating respiratory care to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments and establish personalized care plans. Administer therapeutic modalities including aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and secretion management. Manage mechanical ventilators and assist with airway management in emergency situations. Provide patient and family education on disease management and respiratory care. Support intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients and assist with invasive procedures like bronchoscopy. Collect and analyze arterial blood gases, monitor non-invasive devices, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Serve as a Shift Coordinator and preceptor for students and new staff. Qualifications & Skills Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Respiratory Therapy (required). Experience with protocol-driven care, evidence-based practices, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication, assessment, and clinical skills with a focus on patient safety. Ability to operate state-of-the-art equipment and adapt to various care scenarios.
