Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to develop a tailored proactive support plan. Design Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that emphasize antecedent-based interventions rather than reactive, consequence-driven approaches that trigger extension bursts, yes, we are not required to target the behaviors for decrease in this program. Supervise and guide a team providing structured behavioral respite care that ensures families receive meaningful relief without disrupting the client’s routine. Prioritize engagement and proactive strategies over intensive skill acquisition, creating a supportive, enriched, and stress-free environment for both clients and caregivers. Conduct bi-weekly supervision of mid-level supervisors and behavior technicians, ensuring best practices are implemented effectively. Analyze data and refine interventions to ensure the team delivers the most evidence-based, practical support. Enjoy a lighter documentation workload—progress reports are only required annually, aligned with the client’s Individual Program Plan (IPP), rather than the frequent updates required in intensive ABA models. Our Behavior Respite Program is rapidly growing, and we have a huge need for dedicated BCBAs and mid-level supervisors to help us expand services and support more families across Alameda and Contra Costa Counties through RCEB.
