Docketing Specialist

Support the Intellectual Property practice as a Docketing Specialist Maintain the firm’s docketing system Create database records and docket or calendar due dates De-docket or remove due dates when appropriate Cultivate relationships and follow up with attorneys and/or paralegals regarding actions due Docket and review US and foreign prosecution mail, opposition, interference, and/or appellate matters Monitor and update attorney dockets daily Track approaching deadlines Intake and audit transfer files Maintain knowledge of the latest domestic and foreign IP rules Investigate and troubleshoot docketing issues or questions Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum 5 years of professional experience Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of a degree, minimum 9 years of professional experience required Experience with US and foreign trademark docketing required Knowledge of docketing software applications a plus Proficient in MS Office products, including Excel and Word Excellent verbal and written communication skills Customer service-oriented Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple priorities Strong organization and attention to detail Overtime and flexibility in schedule may be required from time to time Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in docketing processes for US and foreign intellectual property, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in managing deadlines and maintaining effective communication with legal professionals.
