Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Los Angeles, California. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Job Details Location: Facility in Los Angeles, California Duration: 13 weeks Start: ASAP Hours: 40 hours per week, 8‑hour days Employment type: Travel Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in California Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcome Additional certifications or licenses may be required Essential Responsibilities (Work Functions) Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques Maintain a safe treatment environment in accordance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills English speaking and writing proficiency Ability to read/write and follow instructions; PC skills Physical abilities: remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend Interpersonal: work effectively with diverse personnel, maintain positive attitude Technical: fine manipulation, assist procedures, use department equipment Mental: cope with frequent contact, meet deadlines under pressure, handle irregular schedules Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid time off after 1560 hours Life and short‑term disability 401(k) matching Referral bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Licensure and CEU reimbursement Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
