The Work Lockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Software engineer. In this role, you will contribute to the systems and software design of complex combat management capability threads as part of the Future Combat Systems team. You will learn to use a model-based systems engineering approach supporting requirements, performance, and functional allocation of software components. You will also be working on the design, development, and test of containerized software applications in a microservice based architecture. The software engineer will help to test the software in a Kubernetes environment. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge in developing software using Java, C++, and/or Python. U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $142,760.
