Position Title: OPERATIONS CONTROLLER Pay Grade: 14 Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 Bon Appetit is a restaurant company that operates in contract food service, allowing employees to be creative and take risks. Job Summary As Operations Controller for a national client, the successful candidate should possess savvy business skills, be highly motivated, and have proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with various team members. The role focuses on financial reporting, cash handling, reconciliation, and budgeting. Key Responsibilities Serve as the single point of contact for the client finance team on all financial matters across the enterprise Consolidate and present enterprise‑level financial reporting across multiple markets for QBRs and community reviews Partner with site‑unit controllers to ensure accurate monthly closes and timely submission of financial data Support QBR financial preparation and validation, ensuring reporting aligns with client finance expectations Responsible for all cash handling procedures Perform reconciliation and analysis for several balance‑sheet accounts Analyze financial results for internal and external use Track and maintain monthly P/L and balance‑sheet activity Develop forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities Review general ledger and balance‑sheet entries Resolve various accounting and reconciliation issues Prepare and distribute financial reports—monthly, quarterly, and annually Maintain inventory and cost‑control procedures Perform related duties and special projects as assigned Preferred Qualifications Multi‑site or enterprise‑level financial reporting experience Experience in client‑facing financial communication and presentation Knowledge of contract food‑service billing structures, management fee calculations, and T&B rate frameworks Experience working with union labor environments (plus) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) or equivalent professional experience Minimum five years of revenue control, financial reporting, and cash‑handling responsibilities, at least three of which in similar capacity Accounting experience in foodservice or retail; operations experience in foodservice (plus) Experience with revenue/cost analysis and reporting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; POS experience (plus) Strong analytical and organizational skills Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance/AD Disability Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state) Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Programs Discount Marketplace Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance Commuter Benefits Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Paid Parental Leave Personal Leave Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening.
