As a Security Officer Patrol Technology Specialist in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity, operational concerns, and potential hazards in industrial and outdoor environments.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor permissions, and report unauthorized activity or policy violations to help support security-related operations.
• Complete routine reports, logs, and incident documentation, and relay important information during shift changes to help maintain continuity of security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
