Wastewater Engineer

Your Responsibilities as a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer Design and support municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, storage facilities, and related systems. Perform engineering calculations, hydraulic analyses, and evaluations to support planning, design, and operational improvements. Prepare technical memoranda, engineering reports, calculations, construction drawings, specifications, permit applications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates. Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical and cost‑effective engineering solutions. Support project management activities, including project schedules, budgets, resource coordination, and deliverables. Work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout project development and execution. Conduct field investigations, facility assessments, site visits, data collection, and system evaluations. Provide construction administration support, including submittal reviews, responding to contractor inquiries, construction observation, and startup assistance. Assist with proposal development, scopes of work, project budgets, and schedules for new and existing clients. Present technical findings and recommendations to clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams. Support and mentor junior engineering staff while contributing to a collaborative and growth‑oriented team environment. What We’re Looking For Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred, or ability to obtain Idaho licensure within 12 months. 5+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, infrastructure design, and project delivery. Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, collection and distribution systems, pump stations, and applicable regulatory requirements. Experience supporting projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases. Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline. Strong technical writing, communication, and client relationship skills. Experience working within a consulting engineering environment is preferred. Experience with hydraulic modeling, infrastructure master planning, treatment process evaluations, or facility assessments is a plus. Benefits Company‑subsidized medical and dental.
