Distribution Driver

Distribution SpecialistAs a Distribution Specialist, you would follow standard company procedures, state compliance laws, and safety requirements while delivering orders to dispensaries in a timely and efficient manner. The Delivery Specialist role is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages that may weigh a minimum of 50 lbs. Under tight deadlines, our Delivery Specialist safely operates cargo vans and climbs in and out of a vehicle.ResponsibilitiesMaintaining the accuracy of orders going out and staying compliant with state regulationsLoad van with the daily product to be sold as well as unload product for the customerPerform routine inspection of company vehicles and supplies to ensure road safetyMaintain inventory of daily merchandise loaded on the vanPrepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures and state compliance if the Compliance Admin is not able to be reachedEnsure that manifests are complete and accurateReview routes that are generated by the Compliance Administrator: in case of no available admin you will be responsible for routing your deliveriesHandling routine customer problems and serving as an interface between the company and the customer, relaying any issues in an end-of-shift reportEnsuring that product distribution is accomplished to customer satisfaction in agreement with any contract terms and requirementsWorking closely with the manager and salesperson to improve route efficiency and expand existing customer relationshipsOperation of vehicles in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as local, state, and other federal requirementsMaintenance of acceptable motor vehicle recordSafeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)Ensures all areas are kept clean at all timesAttends all company training sessions; and other production duties as assignedMerchandising case packs from the backroom to the sales floor (if granted permission by the dispensary)Filling display units or shelves with products Rotating products and removing defective and out-of-date productsTidying up shelves and displays, knocking down boxes, and disposing of any wasteAssist in the assembling and disassembling of promotional materials such as signs, banners, and cardboard displaysReport stocks inventory, account issues, or positive feedback given by the dispensaryWilling to help Production team during off-time of deliveries when hours are needed:Ensure all production manufacturing processes are followed according to prescribed SOPs while also identifying opportunities to improve efficienciesPrepares and adheres labels to each package; verifies that labels for finished packages conform to State regulationsPrepare material for production, processing, and assembling cannabis and materials, weighing it on a certified scale to the exact weight and placing the product in appropriate bins/bags/storageMaintains the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation inside the processing area and participates in the clean-up of equipment and the workplace at the end of every dayAssists the Production team with daily activities of assigned shifts and helps with tasks as delegated by the Lead or ManagerContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededAdheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulationsManages time efficiently in order to meet productivity goals while consistently producing quality workSkillsAction OrientedTime ManagementPerseveranceEthics and ValuesFunctional/Technical SkillsApproachabilityAbility to perform calculationsAbility to work within established warehouse procedures and practicesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to troubleshoot issues effectivelyFull understanding of the state complianceExcellent attendance record required.Experience2 - 3 years experience in driving large vehicles (required)2 - 3 years experience in deliveries (required)2 - 3 years experience in merchandising (preferred)Educational Background / CertificatesHS Diploma or GED Equivalent (required)Additional QualificationsMust be twenty-one (21) years of ageMust provide proof of a clean driving record for the past 5 yearsMust meet the Federal Department of Transportation eligibility requirements including appropriate driver's license and corresponding safety and medical certification as a condition of employment for this position.Must consent to a criminal background check performed by the Company and/or the State Department of Health ServicesEmployment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of the federal and state criminal background check for an approved badge from the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program.Physical Demands(The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
