The Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center, located on our medical center campus, provides advanced cardiovascular care, bringing together expert providers, innovative treatments and compassionate support for patients across the region.Job Summary:Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: RequiredLicenses/Certifications:Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution: RequiredBasic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredSuccessful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: PreferredPhlebotomy certificate: PreferredFacility Specific License/Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT) or Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) or American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Emergency Medical Tech (NEMT): RequiredEssential Functions:Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.Performs audiometry and vision testing.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Organizational Requirements:Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
