About this position This is an independent practice opportunity for physicians seeking clinical autonomy while receiving structured operational support for non‑clinical business functions of their own practice. Overview Physicians own and operate their own practice entity. MedCBO provides non‑clinical services such as revenue cycle management, coding, payer contracting, EHR, supply‑chain coordination, and financial reporting. This is not an employed physician position; physicians may establish or transition a practice in a preferred market subject to licensure and regulatory requirements. The physician retains full clinical authority and decision‑making. MedCBO does not direct patient care. Opportunity Description Start a new private practice Transition from employment to ownership Convert an existing practice to a supported model Relocate and establish a practice in a new market Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope Develop professional relationships within the medical community Coordinate payer credentialing with MedCBO participation as required Determine clinical services offered Manage clinical quality and patient experience Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Credentialing, enrollments, and facility privileging coordination Compliance support and HR administration Supply‑chain and vendor coordination Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural).
