Contract | 13 Weeks | Mids Shift: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM | Onsite | Floating Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the care team
• Administer medications accurately and monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions
• Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in anticipating and planning for safe patient care delivery
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record system (MedHost EDIS)
• Delegate patient care priorities appropriately and provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required
• New Mexico state fingerprinting required for all travelers prior to start
• Knowledge of nursing process, clinical nursing practices, safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in patient care documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• Prior experience with MedHost EDIS electronic medical record system
• Experience in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department setting
