Classification Title:Adjunct - Clinical Associate Degree Nursing Instructor (Pool)Department:Associate Degree Nursing (ADN)Physical Demands:Able to traverse campus, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, bending, vision, hearing, and talking.Job Summary/Basic Function:Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.Job duties include, but are not limited to:Reports to the Director of NursingActs as the clinical instructor for nursing students at community-based clinical experienceHours and day of the week schedule may vary from semester to semester, up to a maximum of 19 hours per week.College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university with at least (6) graduate semester hours in nursing content appropriate to specific teaching responsibility.Current and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the TexasUp-to-date immunizations and annual TB screeningCurrent American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certificationMust pass a drug screen and criminal background checkThree (3) years of non-teaching work experience in the fieldInterest in alternative instructional delivery methodsExcellent written and oral communication skillsOther qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institutionExceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special considerationDesirable Qualifications:Master’s of Science in Nursing #J-18808-Ljbffr Brazosport-College
