Job Title: Laboratory / Pathologists’ Assistant / Pathology Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8 hours/day | 40 hours/week
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate
Local: $3,000 - $3,300/week
Traveler: $3,200 - $3,400/week

Note: This job doesn't offer any benefits.

Position Overview
We are seeking a laboratory or pathology professional to support specimen handling, processing, documentation, and routine technical operations.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory, pathology, or related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory and pathology procedures.
Ability to handle and process laboratory specimens accurately and safely.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to follow laboratory protocols, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
First-time travelers are welcome.

Responsibilities

Assist with pathology and laboratory operations, including specimen handling and processing.
Support pathologists and laboratory personnel with routine technical procedures.
Prepare, label, organize, and maintain specimens according to established protocols.
Ensure accurate specimen identification, documentation, and recordkeeping.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.
Follow infection prevention practices, laboratory safety guidelines, and applicable quality standards.
Monitor specimen integrity and report discrepancies or issues to appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and healthcare professionals to support efficient workflow.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with facility policies.
