Building and managing relationships with residential distributed energy resource partners, the full-time Residential Business Development Director will focus on expanding Voltus' virtual power plant network across North America through partnership development and program management in a remote setting. Key Responsibilities Build and manage new relationships with residential DER partners, engaging with key executives across various organizations Deepen existing partnerships and collaborate to launch new programs in additional territories and with new asset types Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to contract negotiation, program launch, and ongoing account management Required Qualifications 5 to 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within the energy industry Experience with residential DER OEMs, DERMS, VPP platforms, or demand response companies is strongly preferred Familiarity with wholesale electricity markets and demand response programs Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work closely with internal teams on proposals and programs
