Technologist - Interventional Radiology Lab

Shift Details

• Shifts: D/E
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week, 0630-1700

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology
• Washington State Radiologic Technologist License
• Graduate of an approved program in Radiological Technology or Cardiovascular Technology
• One of the following certifications: ARRT, RCIS, CI, HRE, or RCES
• BLS and ACLS certifications

Call Requirement

Call duty is required for this position.

Essential Functions

• Utilize fluoroscopy equipment, Epic EMR, and MERGE hemodynamic systems within the labs.
• Assess patients’ conditions to determine appropriate handling and essential requirements.
• Orient patients to the lab environment, including equipment and procedures to be performed.
• Use extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes for optimal patient positioning to obtain maximum diagnostic information.
• Maintain fluoroscopy equipment, contrast injectors, and other tools in proper working condition.
• Perform clerical duties including verification of information and exams via Epic and PACS.
• Update exam descriptions to accurately reflect procedures performed.
• Charge all medical and surgical supplies used during procedures appropriately.
• Carry out all responsibilities and duties required by the Cath, IR, and EP labs.
• Set up required equipment according to established standards.
• Prepare and scrub for procedures using sterile technique.
• Record hemodynamic readings as per standards for each procedure.
• Adhere to protocols and procedures, ensuring skills remain current and align with departmental standards.
