Senior Accountant (Real Estate / Property Management)

Senior Accountant (with Real Estate/Property Management experience) Duties include but not limited to: Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering AP, AR, and GL transactions. Provide assistance with lower-risk P2P and treasury activities and own certain bank and other asset accounts monthly. Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries. Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close responsibilities and ensure team members are on track during close. Partner with cross-functional teams across the organization to improve processes and efficiency and support transformation and future-state projects. Ensure deadlines and controls are met in accordance with company policies and procedures. Manage deliverables to external auditors for annual audits and quarterly reviews. Lead internal audit engagements and ensure compliance. Complete external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors. Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related area. Certified Public Accountant preferred. Experience in a Big 4 firm is a plus. Experience in accounting within the real estate or property management industry is a plus. Knowledge of accounting systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, MYOB, and others. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to perform complex formulas and automate processes. Experience developing financial reports and metrics. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels. Superior attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture. Demonstrated ability to drive projects across an organization. Strong organizational and time management skills. System requirements: Computer Processor: Intel 8th generation or newer / AMD Ryzen 2000 series or newer.
