About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN licensure required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Epic charting system experience - Experience with a patient ratio of 1:6 Description: Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. The unit includes 42 beds primarily for post-surgical patients. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Patients will include those recovering from orthopedic, urological, colorectal, bariatric, neurological, and general surgeries. Travelers are expected to work if one major holiday falls during their assignment period. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. Travelers must also work two of three major holidays if applicable. Ratio on the unit is 1:6. Floating within the facility and scope of practice may be required. Weekends will be scheduled every other weekend unless specified otherwise. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. No time off requests can be made during orientation week. Compliance documents must be submitted by the specified deadline.
