An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in school nursing to assist with a specialized Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) near Glendale Heights, IL. This short-term assignment plays a crucial part in supporting student wellbeing and fostering educational success in a collaborative environment.

In this role, you will utilize your expertise as a Certified School Nurse, working closely with an Audiologist to conduct a comprehensive assessment. You’ll have the opportunity to focus on one dedicated evaluation, ensuring the needs of the student and the educational team are fully addressed. This contract assignment must be completed before the end of September and is compensated with a flat fee upon successful completion.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Illinois RN license required
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse endorsement
• Prior experience in a school setting or related pediatric environment
• Exceptional assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct a thorough IEE alongside the Audiologist, following all established protocols
• Complete all related documentation and reports to support the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) team
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations
• Serve as an expert resource on health-related aspects of educational evaluations
