Blood Collections Team Lead (Mobiles)

Job Description Location requirement: candidates must reside in Northern New Jersey: Bergen, Union, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex & Warren county. When you join our team, you will be utilizing leadership & healthcare/customer service skills to support mobile blood drive operation teams. As a team lead/charge, you'll coach, mentor, instruct, and be a point of resource for blood collection staff while performing blood collection duties. Key Responsibilities Lead the team and drive for results through excellent customer service. Model professionalism and compassion while serving as an ambassador to the public for the nation's largest not-for-profit blood banking organization. Work as lead/charge at mobile blood drives within the community and conduct phlebotomy. Work independently with attention to detail and knowledge of daily operations to ensure the blood the team collects meets regulatory requirements. Standard Schedule (Fairfield, New Jersey) Variable work schedule, may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays and occasional overnight travel. Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance. Pay Information Starting rate $24.97/hour. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience (18 months to four years of experience in a related field) is required. Minimum 1 year leadership experience in environments with public interaction required. Phlebotomy experience is required. Customer service experience, effective verbal communication, and public relations skills are required. A current valid driver's license and a good driving record is required. Physical requirements may include ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes. A minimum height of 60 inches may be required. Basic computer skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.). Prior leadership experience in healthcare settings.
