Mid-Level System Engineer Windows Server

About the role Seeking a skilled System Engineer with expertise in Windows Server and cloud-based systems to join a mission operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience in system installation, configuration, administration, and support, particularly in cloud environments and Citrix-based desktops. This role requires a Top Secret clearance and offers the opportunity to work on critical government projects with a focus on system performance and security. Job Responsibilities Lead system changes and improvements in collaboration with government and contractor points of contact. Troubleshoot and respond to complex user incident reports. Proactively recommend configuration changes to improve system performance. Deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments. Update critical databases with new data. Author and maintain operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs. Support cloud-based geospatial solutions and mission operations. Perform security remediation tasks based on security scans. Collaborate using team tools such as Jira and Confluence. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (or 2 years with a Master's degree). Experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration. Experience with cloud-based systems, especially AWS architectures and technologies. Proficiency in Citrix administration in cloud environments. DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex system issues. Ability to author and update operational and security documentation. Familiarity with software development and integration in service-oriented or virtualization environments.
