Medical Lab ScientistSaint Luke's Hospital on the Plaza is looking for a Medical Lab Scientist for our Microbiology department. You will have the opportunity to perform an extremely broad range of tests.Shift Details: Full Time Day shift, four 10-hour days per week, and 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Rotating weekends (work every 3rd weekend)Responsibilities:Perform accurate and reliable analyses requiring a complex network of steps and variablesRecognizes technical, instrument or physiological problems, identifying causes and evaluating alternative solutionsConfirms and verifying laboratory results utilizing in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles and instrumentsCorrelates and interpreting data based on knowledge of physiological conditions affecting test resultsEstablishes and monitors quality assurance programsParticipates in performance improvement programsMust have ASCP accreditation or pass ASCP registry within 9 months of hireMedical Lab Scientist experience in Microbiology preferredBachelor's degree in related Science field required
