Art History Adjunct Instructor Recruitment: Fall 2024 Job Posting: Assistant Professor of Art History The Art & Design Department at Central Connecticut State University is seeking an adjunct instructor with experience teaching art history survey courses. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Art History Preferred Qualifications PhD in Art History Evidence of quality teaching experience. Adjunct faculty typically teach one or two courses per semester in a 3‑hour block that meets twice per week. Classes meet mornings or evenings to permit some flexible scheduling for adjunct courses on ground. Duties include the following Teaching Art 110, Art 112, and/or Art 113. Developing and managing course syllabi and ensuring that syllabi are up to date. Planning and creating lectures, discussions, and course assignments. Providing regular and timely feedback to students to promote student success. Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues and nurture inclusive classrooms.
