Senior Director of Professional Services

Reports To: Executive Vice President of KG3

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt

GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Provide leadership to position the company at the forefront of the ITS and related industries. Assist the EVP in developing and executing a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives, promote revenue and profitability, and meet growth and earnings objectives. Has responsibility for all areas of marketing, operations, and program/project management for cabling systems, physical security and related systems, hardware, and software. Oversee internal and external service delivery operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources across multiple lines of business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Executive Leadership  

• Assist the EVP in the formation of short- and long-term corporate and business strategies for Kituwah Services and KG3.
• Promote the company through internal and external meetings, industry and channel leadership and events, written publications, and other promotional activities.

  Market Expansion

• Establish and oversee the execution of vertical market, geographic, and business unit expansion plans that ensure the achievement of company-wide professional services for FedGov and Private Sector clients. 

  Financial Management  

• Support the management team by providing enhanced operational reports.
• Identify, implement, and manage systems that support company requirements for financial reporting and financial-related business intelligence.

  Operations Management

• Guide the organization through the process of fundamentally examining, documenting, and continually rethinking and improving how it does its work.
• Oversee day-to-day design, build, and integration of cabling, network, access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related technologies.
• Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
• Evaluate divisional performance for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.
• Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.

Organization Development

• Align day-to-day organization design, staffing, training, performance management, career development, compensation and employee relations activities with client requirements and desired business outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of business development principles and strategic planning.
• Strong understanding of the government procurement process.
• Measures performance and is concerned with working well against standards of excellence (standards may be individual past performance, objective measures, others’ performance, or challenging goals requiring innovation), sets challenging goals, improves outcomes, and uses time efficiently.
• Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to analyze market data and develop actionable strategies.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Experience facilitating strategic planning meetings and proposal review sessions utilizing Shipley methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.

Experience

• Preferred minimum 10 years of global experience specializing in design, program, and project management using both BICSI, TIA, and PMI-PMBOK Standards for Telecommunication/ Information Technology Engineering for voice and data telecommunications network infrastructures.
• Must have extensive experience designing secure network plans, security design plans, and active shooter programs.
• Technical and Board Certifications including RCDD, RTPM, CPP, CISSP or similar experience required.
• Must have experience managing projects from initial project planning through project execution and supervision of all phases of projects that require multiple subcontractors and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SBA programs, including 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, or other small business contracting programs.
• Experience with GovWin, SAM.gov, FPDS, CRM platforms, and market intelligence tools.
• Strong leadership skills (including thought leadership and problem-solving)
• Successful start-up and Day 2 management experience
• Knowledge of daily internal and external (customer-facing) operations
• Familiarity with proper meeting management structure and protocols
• Strong project-management skills
• Sales-and-marketing management experience
• Extensive DoD and/or federal law enforcement project experience
• Global or multi-national business experience
• Knowledge of proposal management and federal contracting compliance.
• Experience working with tribal enterprises or Native American-owned businesses is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through virtual platforms.
• Ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• Primarily a professional office environment; however, the position requires up to 75% travel to customer locations, government agencies, conferences, and other business-related destinations (CONUS/OCONUS).
• Frequent interaction with customers, executives, government representatives, and business partners.
• May require evening or weekend work to support proposal deadlines, conferences, or customer meetings.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• At least 95% of contract deliverables submitted on time and accepted without material rework
• No preventable Marginal or Unsatisfactory performance ratings; documented action plans for adverse customer feedback
• Meet the approved annual revenue and gross margin budget for assigned contracts; explain material variances monthly
• Keep quarterly revenue and margin forecasts within ±10% of actual results, absent documented contract changes
• Maintain 90% or better coverage of funded positions and meet the approved billable utilization target for eligible staff
• Conduct documented customer reviews at least quarterly for key accounts; escalate material issues promptly
• Support recompetes, option years, and expansion opportunities against an annual plan approved by leadership
• Complete required contract, labor, security, and reporting reviews on schedule; promptly correct identified deficiencies
• Complete 100% of required evaluations and development plans on time; maintain succession coverage for critical roles
