The requirement to substitute in Instructional Assistant assignments are as follows: Pass the EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT (ESSA) exams OR submission of official, sealed transcripts (at time of hiring) verifying possession of an AA or AS degree from an institution of higher learning or the equivalent (48 semester units) For a bilingual position there will be a bilingual test.
