Pay Range: $50,000+ Base Salary + Commission & Performance Bonuses | $130,000+ On-Target Earnings (OTE)

Job Overview:

Schwartz Heating and Cooling Inc. is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Estimator to join our team in Owensboro, Kentucky. This role is ideal for an HVAC professional who understands residential systems, knows how to accurately calculate project costs, and is confident presenting estimates and helping customers move forward with the right solution.

The Residential HVAC Estimator will be responsible for managing the estimating process from initial lead through project handoff. You will visit residential properties throughout our service area, assess project needs, prepare accurate estimates, present recommendations to customers, follow up on leads, and provide detailed job information to our installation technicians.

We are looking for someone with strong HVAC knowledge, estimating experience, and excellent communication skills. Compensation will not prevent us from hiring the right person, and candidates with extensive industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit residential customers throughout the company's service area to evaluate HVAC project needs
• Calculate labor, equipment, materials, and overall project costs
• Prepare accurate and professional estimates for residential HVAC installations and replacements
• Present estimates, recommendations, and available options clearly to customers
• Follow up with prospective customers and active leads
• Maintain consistent communication throughout the estimating and sales process
• Create detailed job descriptions and project information for installation technicians
• Ensure installation teams have the information necessary to successfully complete each project
• Coordinate with office staff, technicians, and leadership regarding project requirements
• Maintain accurate estimating, customer, and project documentation
• Stay knowledgeable about residential HVAC equipment, products, pricing, and industry standards
• Assist customers in identifying HVAC solutions that meet their home's needs and budget

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC industry experience**
• Minimum 2 years of HVAC estimating experience**
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC equipment, installation practices, and project requirements
• Ability to accurately calculate job costs, materials, labor, and equipment needs
• Experience preparing and presenting estimates to customers
• Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills
• Comfortable following up with leads and building customer relationships
• Ability to communicate detailed project requirements to installation technicians
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the broader team
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Bryant residential HVAC equipment
• Previous residential HVAC sales or comfort advisor experience
• Strong knowledge of residential replacement and installation projects
• HVAC Journeyman License

Work Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Monday through Friday
• Typical Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Additional hours may be required during peak HVAC seasons or for special circumstances

Work Location & Travel:

• This position reports to our main office in Owensboro, KY and requires daily travel to residential estimating appointments throughout our service area.
• A company truck and gas card are provided for work-related travel.

Compensation:

• Starting compensation is approximately $50,000+ annually, with higher compensation available depending on the candidate's HVAC knowledge, estimating experience, sales ability, and overall qualifications.
• We are open to discussing hourly, salary, commission, or a combination compensation structure depending on the candidate. For an experienced professional who is the right fit for our team, compensation is negotiable and will not stand in the way of making the right hire.
