An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Events Staff Steward to join a prestigious private members' club located in Washington, DC, serving UHNW clientele. The club offers a refined hospitality and dining experience to its distinguished membership. This is an on-call, as-needed position based on scheduled events and private parties, with a focus on delivering essential operational support. Hours will vary based on business and event needs, and there is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours.

Position Overview

The Events Staff Steward supports the successful execution of club events by maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked service and back-of-house areas. Working closely with the culinary and front-of-house teams, this position plays an important role in ensuring staff have the supplies, equipment, and support necessary to deliver seamless and exceptional events.

Principal (Essential) Duties

1. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked event, kitchen, service, and back-of-house areas throughout events.
2. Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, equipment, and service items in accordance with established sanitation standards.
3. Assist with event setup and breakdown, including organizing, transporting, and replenishing equipment, supplies, glassware, utensils, and other event materials.
4. Promptly address spills, waste, and cleanliness needs while following all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety standards.
5. Collaborate with culinary, service, and event team members to provide efficient behind-the-scenes support and ensure seamless event execution.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, private clubs, catering, banquets, stewarding, dishwashing, or event support is preferred.
2. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in a fast-paced event environment.
3. Ability to perform the physical responsibilities of the position and work a flexible, on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
