Sleep Direct Support Professional

Position Overview Sleep DSP at Devereux provides services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses in Germantown, NY. The role involves sleeping overnight at the assigned facility, remaining responsive to residents as needed, and assisting with daily activities during awake hours. Key Responsibilities Sleep an average of seven hours per night while remaining available to respond to resident needs. Assist individuals with daily activities, including health, personal management, and goal attainment. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment that meets physical, emotional, and personal needs. Support residents in achieving long‑term goals and minimizing interfering behaviors. Eligibility and Requirements High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred. One year of experience preferred. Valid NY Driver’s License. Flexible, patient, energetic, creative, with a sense of humor. Strong passion for working with individuals with special needs. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Paid orientation. Over five weeks of paid time off in the first year.
