Works closely with surgical teams, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, to ensure safe and effective procedures. Key Responsibilities Educates patients and families about procedures, expectations, and support resources, acting as a liaison between physician and patient. Demonstrates proficiency in scrubbing and/or circulating during surgeries across various specialties. Prepares and assists with surgical procedures, ensuring safety, proper instrument setup, and sterile technique. Maintains patient safety by monitoring for complications, preventing adverse events, and managing operative specimens. Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities, and contributes to professional development and team orientation. Qualifications & Skills RN license with 2+ years of Operating Room experience. Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred. Certifications such as CNOR and Periop 101 are advantageous. Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
