Thin Film Coating Design EngineerPosition would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech. US Citizenship/Permanent Resident Required.Create new thin film coating designs for customer applicationsDevelop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativityCollaborate with Program Management to create a project plan, budget, and scheduleProvide program/project work instructions to early career engineers and production techniciansSupport operations team from equipment setup, calibration, through productionOrder, analyze, and interpret in-process metrology data to determine process adjustmentsCompare metrology data to customer specifications to evaluate fitness for useReview customer requirements documents to support the technical customer proposal contentMeet with customers for collaborative discussions and design presentationsPromote a collaborative team environmentBasic Qualification:Experienced in thin film coating designs and materialsExperience with sputtered thin films design, processes, and equipmentRoll to roll deposition and/or converting experienceFamiliar with thin film design and expertise in one or more thin film design tools: TFCalc, OptiLayer, FilmStar, FilmWizardStatistical methods and design of experimentsProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsDesired Skills:Ability to create and present technical content for customer meetingsComfortable taking calculated risks and learning from failures with a growth mindsetPlanning and leading projects to meet established requirementsProgramming experience and Visual Basic Macro Scripting or similar analysis softwareExperience with Optical Spectrometer, SEM, XRF measurements and interpreting the results
