Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments through preliminary interviews, documenting client histories and treatment plans from initial consultation to discharge. \n
- Evaluate clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological well-being, crafting tailored intervention and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, and families. \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices and adapting to client needs as necessary. \n
- Maintain comprehensive records in our electronic health record systems like AVATAR, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. \n
- Regularly monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey, making adjustments to the treatment plan as required. \n
- Collaborate closely with other health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create cohesive treatment strategies that support client wellness. \n
- Provide guidance and support to families and caregivers, helping them navigate their loved ones’ challenges. \n
- Proactively identify and manage behaviors that may inhibit recovery, implementing strategies to foster positive progress. \n
As a mental health counselor at Soulful Serenity, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including young adults, families, and individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington. \n
- A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems; familiarity with AVATAR is preferred. \n
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to build rapport and trust with clients. \n

- Demonstrated experience working in a mental health counseling role, with a solid foundation in psychotherapy techniques. \n
- Knowledge of addiction disorders and the interplay of physical health conditions with mental health. \n
- Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). \n
- In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health, gained through collaboration with medical professionals. \n
