High Reach Operator / Receiving And Shipping Clerk | Pay - 18$

This role combines high reach forklift operation with receiving and shipping responsibilities in a fast-paced distribution warehouse. You will handle incoming and outgoing shipments, verify documentation and product quality, and maintain accurate inventory records while working both independently and as part of a team in a cold-storage environment that is colder in summer and warmer in winter.

• Operate high reach forklifts and related material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Direct delivery drivers to the correct unloading stations and ensure smooth traffic flow in the dock area.
• Receive and sign for deliveries, verifying shipment contents against orders, invoices, manifests, and other documents.
• Check deliveries for correctness, recording and reporting any overages, shortages, and discrepancies.
• Inspect the condition and quality of delivered items and identify damaged or nonconforming product.
• Record and reject damaged items in accordance with established procedures and process returns of damaged items.
• Complete daily receiving entries in the computer system to maintain accurate and timely records.
• Store stock in an orderly manner in appropriate locations, assuring proper storage conditions.
• Organize stock and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Use scan guns and related technology to track, pick, and move inventory within the warehouse.
• Build and wrap pallets securely to prepare products for storage or shipment.
• Assist in general warehouse operations when needed, including shipping, picking, and material handling.
• Comply with standard safety and operating procedures at all times, including equipment and facility guidelines.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and adhere to assigned work schedules, including busy-season demands.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with team members to meet productivity and accuracy goals.

• Proven high reach forklift or reach truck operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds and perform frequent material handling, including team lifts when appropriate.
• Experience using scan guns and warehouse management or inventory systems for receiving and inventory control.
• Demonstrated ability to perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Comfort working in a cold environment that is colder in summer and warmer in winter.
• Ability to build and organize pallets securely for storage and shipping.
• Strong attention to detail when verifying shipments against orders, invoices, and manifests.
• Capability to identify, record, and process damaged items and returns in line with company procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high level of pressure and frequent changes.
• Capacity to work both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and adherence to set work schedules, including extended hours during busy season.
• Basic computer skills to complete daily receiving entries and use warehouse systems.

• Previous experience in distribution warehousing is helpful and strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes, systems, and workflow changes.
• Strong organizational skills to store stock in an orderly manner and maintain a clean, efficient work area.
• Good communication skills to work with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors regarding deliveries and inventory.
• Understanding of standard safety and operating procedures in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to manage stress and maintain accuracy and focus under time pressure.
• Willingness to assist in other warehouse departments and tasks as business needs require.

The role is based in a distribution warehouse that operates on a 1st shift schedule, typically starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays during the busy season from January through June. The facility includes cold-storage areas that are colder in summer and warmer in winter, so you should be comfortable working in cooler temperatures. You will regularly use high reach forklifts, reach trucks, scan guns, and computer systems, and spend much of your time on your feet performing material handling tasks and building pallets. The environment is fast-paced, with established safety and operating procedures, and requires adherence to scheduled hours and reliable attendance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morgantown, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
