Senior Data Center Network Engineer (Cisco ACI)

We are seeking a Senior Data Center Network Engineer (Cisco ACI) to support a large-scale data center decommissioning and infrastructure consolidation initiative in a complex brownfield environment for the Bank of New York. Position Responsibilities Conduct network audits to identify infrastructure targeted for retirement. Back up configurations, routing tables, and VLAN databases before decommissioning activities. Design and execute traffic migration strategies to maintain service continuity. Decommission routers, switches, and firewalls while maintaining accurate network documentation. Migrate legacy infrastructure to modern data center platforms. Lead terminal server consolidation initiatives. Perform post-migration testing and validation activities. Operate within formal change management and CAB approval processes. Partner with infrastructure, operations, and project teams to coordinate migration activities. Required Qualifications 10+ years of enterprise and data center networking experience. Advanced Cisco Data Center Networking (Nexus, Catalyst, ASR, ACI, Routing & Switching). Proven experience in Data Center Decommissioning, Migration Planning, and Infrastructure Consolidation within brownfield environments. Expertise in Enterprise Routing & Switching Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN). Active CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Data Center certification. Exceptional communication skills. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Active CCIE Data Center certification (Strongly Preferred). Experience with Juniper MX and EX platforms. Experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM. Proficiency in Python scripting and/or Ansible automation. Experience using SolarWinds, CiscoWorks, or similar network management tools. Familiarity with Visio or equivalent network diagramming tools. ITIL Foundation certification. PMP certification.
