DOH Facilities Division is responsible for the Office of Facilities Management (Capital Project Management, Capital Asset Management Leased and Owned Property Management, Risk and Loss Management, and Vehicle and Fleet Management), Health Facilities Operations Management and Provider Credentialing, and oversight of seven Health Care Facilities: Fort Bayard Medical Center (FBMC), NM Veterans Home (NMVH), Turquoise Lodge Hospital (TLH), NM Rehabilitation Center (NMRC), Sequoya Adolescent Treatment Center (SATC), NM Behavioral Health Institute (NMBHI), Meadows LTC, and the Los Lunas Community Program. The Facilities provides chemical dependency and rehabilitation services, adult psychiatric services, forensic services, long-term care services, community based services, developmentally disabled community services and adolescent treatment and reintegration services to NM residents in need of such services in seven facilities across New Mexico. Why does the job exist? The Business Operations Analyst position exists to support the Capital Infrastructure Manager as relates to providing administrative support and maintaining accurate financial tracking reports, inputting and organizing data and maintaining information which contributes to achieving agency objectives. How does it get done? Business Operations Analysts provide program guidance and direction to business units and separate reporting activities on all matters pertaining to business and life-cycle acquisition processes. Define and perform system analysis and develop tasks to improve work low and operating efficiency. Record transactions, reconcile accounts and maintain financial tracking spreadsheets. Track and reconcile budget to actual expenses. Maintain systems for organizing company records and documents. Collaborate with team members and accounting staff to obtain information and records. Update and maintain tracking spreadsheets with financial data while checking for accuracy. Who are the customers? The position is with the New Mexico Department of Health, Facility Management Division, Office of Facilities Management. The position will be working with the Office of Facilities Management team and directly reports to the Capital Infrastructure Manager. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, possess excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Excellent bookkeeping, administrative and data entry skills combined with an ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks. Minimum Qualification High School diploma or Equivalency and two (2) years of experience in office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
