Maintenance TechnicianMaintenance Technician - Rochester Hills, Michigan Contract-to-Hire Role Pay rate: approximately $25.00 per hour 2nd or 3rd Shift available - Training required on 1st shiftPosition Summary Maintenance Technician: To learn and assist in the maintenance and repair of all presses and equipment, while adhering to the Preventative Maintenance Program.Roles and Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:Develop and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenanceFabrication and repair of equipmentTroubleshoot, fix and/or recommend all repairs, upgrades, or improvementsOrder parts and call in any service technicians from outside companies as requiredPerform and document all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative/curative maintenance performed by using the M4 systemHelp prevent unscheduled downtimePerform building maintenancePerform and adhere to lock-out procedures, along with any and all other safety rules and regulationsMaintain a clean and safe work areaWork with and train under the direction of the molding manager or designeeHas authority to stop the process if nonconforming or suspect material is foundOther related duties and/or projects as assignedEducation and Experience Requirements of the Maintenance Technician:High School Diploma or equivalent1-2 years of electrical troubleshooting experienceSkills and Physical Demands Required of the Maintenance Technician:Demonstrated ability to perform basic machine maintenance and building maintenanceProven ability to troubleshoot and repair equipmentAbility to drive and operate a forkliftAbility to operate an overhead craneGood recordkeeping skillsBasic computer skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsTime management: the ability to organize and manage multiple prioritiesStrong team playerAbility to work closely with others in a collaborative team environmentProficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Professional demeanor and ethical conduct, including handling confidential information appropriatelyWalk; sit; stand, climb, used hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with arms and hands; balance, stoop, twist, bend, talk, and hear; lift and/or move up to 55 poundsVision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
