Accounting Manager ( Publicly Traded Fintech)

• $160,000 - 180,000 Base + Yearly Bonus
• Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

• Ideal candidate has a passion for Finance and Technology. Also 5-8+ Years of experience. CPA (or in process of obtaining) strongly preferred. If out of Public, clients should be B/D or Fintech.
• Full-cycle accounting exposure that's perfect for candidates looking for first role out of Public: Ops, Reconciliations, JE's, Periodic Close, Financial Statement Prep, External Audit Liaising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Operations & Compliance: Manage daily accounting and financial operations, ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and company policies.
• Trading Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support electronic trading activities, including settlement, clearing, and reconciliations.
• General Ledger & Close: Prepare and/or review journal entries and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in accordance with accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Perform in-depth variance analysis, monitor key drivers in revenue and expenses, and prepare monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages.
• Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of core financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Audit Management: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
• Process Automation: Develop and implement policies and procedures, working closely with developers and cross-functional teams, to further automate and enhance the robustness of financial operations.
• Industry Alignment: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in electronic trading platforms.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or actively pursuing CPA licensure preferred.
• Experience: 5-8+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to electronic trading or financial services. Prior experience at a public accounting firm is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting software/ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Core Competencies: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
