This role supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by inspecting products on a conveyor line, removing defective items, and preparing finished goods for shipment. You will work on rotating shifts in a large production facility, performing hands-on tasks that ensure product quality, proper labeling, and accurate placement of items for distribution. The position involves standing for extended periods, routine lifting, and consistent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Stand on a conveyor line to visually inspect products as they move down the line and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Identify and remove defective products from the conveyor line as soon as defects are observed.
  • Tag and label incoming and finished products accurately according to established procedures.
  • Place labeled products in the correct staging or storage areas to prepare them for shipment.
  • Perform routine packaging and general production tasks as needed to support overall line efficiency.
  • Assist with basic warehouse duties such as organizing inventory and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds routinely throughout the shift.
  • Stand, bend, and move continuously for up to 8 hours per day while performing production duties.
  • Collaborate with other line workers, machine operators, and warehouse staff to keep production running smoothly.
  • Support manufacturing inspection activities by reporting quality issues or equipment concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to stand on your feet for an 8-hour shift and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to routinely bend and lift up to 25 pounds safely.
  • Experience with general labor in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work 6–7 days per week and remain open to working every day as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail to identify visual defects quickly and accurately.
  • Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with packaging, packing, and general production tasks.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing inspection processes.
  • Exposure to machine operation or machine operating in a production environment.
  • Experience using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts is helpful.
  • Comfort working with warehouse inventory and basic documentation.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and support different areas of the production line as needed.

Work Environment

You will work in a large manufacturing facility that uses batch-making machines to produce high-volume products. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with multiple line workers responsible for detecting deficiencies, packaging, and labeling products. Shifts operate around the clock with schedules of 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m., and you must be open to working 6–7 days per week. The facility requires the use of personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hair and beard nets, hearing protection such as ear plugs, and a hard hat. No certifications or medical screenings are required to qualify. The dress code is practical and safety-oriented, focused on PPE and suitable attire for a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Derry, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
