Therapist Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will develop and implement treatment plans to enhance swallowing, cognitive, and communication functions in residents. They will oversee the delivery of speech therapy services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Lead and coordinate speech-language pathology and audiology services within the facility.
  
  
• 
  Assess residents communication and swallowing abilities and develop tailored treatment plans.
  
  
• 
  Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve patient outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and monitor progress.
  
  
• 
  Ensure all services comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies.
  
  
• 
  Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess at least 2 years of experience in speech-language pathology.
  
  
• 
  Hold a valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license or a compact license.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for communication and swallowing disorders.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with residents and team members.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current CPR certification and awareness of clinical best practices.
