As a Security Officer Court Screener in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working with a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: Starting pay $18.37 / Hour increasin to $21.05 / Hour in annual increments

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry when required, and support orderly operations during opening, closing, and daily activity periods.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and/or maintenance or security-related concerns, and relay important information to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
