Position: PM Restaurant Server

Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The PM Restaurant Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences by delivering prompt and courteous service to guests. This role supports the team by ensuring a welcoming and efficient restaurant environment, contributing to the overall operations of the hotel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

• Operational Responsibilities
  • Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down tables and service stations.
  • Closing the restaurant correctly in a timely manner.
  • Efficiently execute side work ensuring the AM staff is setup for success.
• Guest Services
  • Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by accommodating special requests.
• Team Support and Training
  • Assist in training new restaurant servers as needed.
  • Support team performance by collaborating with colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with Valencia Hotel policies and industry standards.
• Communication and Reporting
  • Communicate effectively with the restaurant manager and other departments.
  • Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately.
• Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred
• Experience using POS systems relating to restaurant influenced software
• Certification for TABC & Texas Food Handlers

Physical Requirements

• Sitting: Occasional
• Standing/Walking: Frequent, including walking long distances
• Lifting/Carrying: Up to 50 lbs, such as trays and supplies
• Other Physical Requirements: Handling, grasping, and crouching as needed

WORKING ENVIORNMENT

• Interior: Restaurant dining area and kitchen
• Exterior: Restaurant patio and courtyard

BASICS

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
• Report any unsafe conditions immediately
• Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is a plus
