Come join a workforce where we put you first!Job Summary: The RF Automated Test Equipment Engineerdesigns and implements software-based automated test systems to collect, analyze, and report data on a variety of systems including complex RF assemblies and power distribution units. This role focuses on developing scalable, reliable software solutions that interface with test equipment in an object-oriented programming environment, supporting both engineering development and production testing.This position is open to a range of experience levels. Candidates will be considered for appropriate leveling based on skills, experience, and technical depth.Compensation Range: The expected compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000.00 annually. Essential Job Functions:Design, develop, and maintain automated test software using object-oriented programming (primarily C# .NET).Develop modular, reusable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices.Interface software with RF test equipment using standard communication protocols and drivers (e.g., VISA, IVI, SCPI).Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, quality) to define test requirements, including instrumentation and hardware needs.Develop and execute automated test solutions for RF performance parameters such as Gain, P1dB, Noise Figure, IP2, and IP3.Integrate and control a variety of test equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, electronic loads, and oscilloscopes.Utilize communication interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, Serial (RS-232), and GPIB.Use version control tools (e.g., Git) to manage and maintain codebase integrity.Create and maintain technical documentation, including test procedures and software documentation.Provide training and support to engineers and production personnel.Support troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and optimization of automated test systems.Use generative AI tools such as Codex and Claude Code to assist in the creation and review of software.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience:Experience in RF test, test automation, embedded systems, or related engineering disciplinesOpen to a range of experienced engineers (typically 5–10+ years)Technical Skills:Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Python, C++, or similar)Familiarity with RF concepts and measurement techniques preferredExperience with test equipment, instrumentation control, or automated test systems is a plusExperience using generative AI tools to create, test, and review software is a plusEquivalent combinations of education and experience will be consideredWork Environment:This hybrid role requires regular on-site presence at any listed facility, with flexibility for remote work one day per week.Occasional travel may be required to support test system integration and cross-site collaboration.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
